National Entrepreneurs Association Launch Event February 22nd
Southfield, Mich.- Entrepreneurs and professionals are invited to attend the Launch Event for the National Entrepreneurs Association (NEA), a 501c3 non-profit corporation designed to empower entrepreneurs to become successful through quality networking events and training programs. The organization began seven years ago as the South East Michigan Entrepreneurs Association, during which time the association served as a resource base for entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow businesses in Southeast Michigan. This effort will continue to expand and over the next five years the National Entrepreneurs Association will launch 14 chapters in major cities throughout the country.
The launch event for NEA will take place at the Skyline Club in Southfield Michigan on Thursday February 22, 2018 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and will feature a mix and mingle, keynote speakers, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. During this event participants will have an opportunity to meet the leadership team behind the association and learn how they can become involved.
“Too many entrepreneurs fail when they don’t have to. We believe more entrepreneurs can succeed when armed with the correct information and professional relationships but we must ban together. The National Entrepreneurs Association was formed to give entrepreneurs throughout the country the tools needed to succeed in business,” ZaLonya Allen, PhD, President of NEA. “This association is unique in many ways. It will provide members with a national network as well as an opportunity to complete a training program facilitated by some of the best subject matter experts in the country. Upon completion, members will become NEA Certified Entrepreneurs. With this designation entrepreneurs will be mentally prepared to do business at the highest levels.”
Award Winning Entrepreneur Jeanette M. Abraham will keynote the launch event along with, Professor and Author Dr. Lee Meadows. Dr. Meadows will discuss, “Overcoming Adversity to Achieve Greatness” to encourage entrepreneurs to persevere. Meadows is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Management. His career portfolio includes serving as Area Director of University Housing Programs at Michigan State University, Supervisor of Human Resources at General Motors, Management Change Consultant for A.T. Kearney, and a Manager of Training and Development for the Kellogg Foundation. He has authored several books as well as several leadership columns.
Keynote Speaker Jeanette M. Abraham is Founder, President and CEO of JMA Global, LLC, a 100% Minority and Woman owned company, whose expertise is procurement, warehousing, kitting and distribution of fastener components. JMA Global, LLC is a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry. Jeanette has been honored as an Automotive Trailblazer by Rainbow Push and has repeatedly been named on Crain’s list of top women-owned businesses. She holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Wayne State and Central Michigan Universities, respectively. Jeanette will share her experiences of successfully transitioning from corporate executive to entrepreneur.

SMALL BUSINESS DOING BIG BUSINESS CONFERENCE FEATURES
POWERFUL LINE UP OF SPEAKERS AND TRAINERS
DETROIT, Mich., August 9, 2018 – The National Entrepreneurs Association and Lawrence Tech University have teamed up to host the 2018 Entrepreneur and Small Business Conference: Small Business Doing Big Business, a one day event designed to train entrepreneurs to successfully grow their businesses. The conference will feature networking, keynote speakers, panel discussions and breakout sessions on a variety of topics including funding, government contracting, corporate contracting, overcoming obstacles and digital marketing. The event will take place October 3, 2018 from 9am to 4pm at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield Michigan.

There will be three panel discussions. The first, “Grow to the Next Level” will be moderated by Camille Walker Banks, Executive Director of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and will consist of entrepreneurs who have graduated from the program discussing their experiences. The second, “Funding and Finance” will be moderated by Dr. Ken Harris, President of the National Business League. Panelists will consist of representatives from area banks including Comerica, CIBC and Chase. The third panel, “Women in Business” will be moderated by Detroit Free Press Columnist Rochelle Riley and will consist of women business owners discussing how they overcame obstacles.
Media personality Mark S. Lee will lead a fireside chat with 13 year old Millionaire Entrepreneur Alina Morse, founder of Zollipops sold in over 7,000 stores worldwide including Kroger and Whole Foods. The conference will conclude with an awards presentation to entrepreneurs who serve as role models in the business community. Joseph Anderson, Chairman and CEO of Tag Holdings, a company that has generated millions of dollars and hundreds of jobs throughout the country, will receive the NEA Lifetime Achievement Award.
The conference will showcase 30 exhibitors consisting of entrepreneurs and service providers such as the Small Business Administration. Sponsors include Lawrence Tech University, CIBC, QT Business Solutions, Michigan CRA Association and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses.
