Dr. ZaLonya Allen is President/CEO of the National Entrepreneurs Association. She has been an entrepreneur for nearly 20 years. As a Leadership Development Speaker and Trainer she has delivered presentations for organizations throughout the country and coaches professionals in a variety of industries. She earned a Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Michigan, a Masters in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University and a Doctorate in Psychology from North Central University. She enjoys teaching psychology classes and currently teaches the Psychology of Learning.
Van Allen is a lifelong entrepreneur. He began his career in investing over 25 years ago. His primary investments include real estate and blue chip stocks as well as numerous entrepreneurial ventures. In addition, he is an award winning motivational speaker and former cable talk show host. He has received numerous speaking awards including first place in the District 28 World Championship of Public Speaking Contest for Toastmasters International. His signature presentation “Are You a Winner” encourages audiences to step out of their comfort zone to reach their true potential. He attended Henry Ford Community College and Wayne State University. He is a Master NLP Practitioner which allows him to help individuals tap into the power of the subconscious mind. Currently he is Owner and President of Van Allen Productions which specializes in producing video and audio projects.

For Colette Hughes Real Estate is not just her profession...it's her passion. She has 25 years of experience in various areas of real estate from traditional real estate sales, short sales, bank foreclosures, tax foreclosures/auctions, helping first time home buyers, helping seasoned buyers and sellers, property management to property investments. She is currently the Broker/Owner of Virtual Real Estate Services, LLC, a real estate firm in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In just three years she built a 5 million dollar business. In addition, she has been a board member for the South East Michigan Entrepreneurs Association for three years. Colette earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Detroit College of Business and has a BA in Christian Studies from Midwestern Christian Institute.
Kevin is President and Founder of Kyrris Marketing. He has over 22 years of experience in strategic planning, branding, marketing, communications, business development & agency management. He is an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Wayne State University. He has taught a wide range of classes in the Mike Ilitch School of Business. In addition, he began serving on Grosse Pointe Woods City Council in 2011. He has a BA in Journalism with an additional major in Psychology from Michigan State University and a MS in Mass Communication from Boston University.
Thanh Tran is a serial entrepreneur that founded AccelerateKID to teach kids grades K-8 about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) education and entrepreneurship. In less than 4 years, the supplemental education, after-school startup has two teaching centers, nearly 50 partnerships, and has taught over 5500 young students. Thanh earned his Electrical Engineering Bachelors and Masters Degree from MSU. He then worked for corporations like GM and Eli Lilly. After gaining experience in the pharmaceutical and health care industry, he co-founded tech startups including MentalNote, and SchedFull, a scheduling software. Thanh is the recipient of the 2014 Salute to Excellence Award from the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce and 2016 Startup of the Year Award from EMU’s School of Business. His AccelerateKID students won the 2014 Ernst & Young’s Youth Entrepreneurship Award and have spoken at TEDxDetroit.

Marcus A. Jackson is a Community Development Relationship Manager at CIBC. He is responsible for delivering customized banking solutions specific to the needs of small businesses, including a variety of lending options for start-ups, early stage and more established small businesses. Jackson is also responsible for partnering with community organizations in the area to deliver entrepreneurial training programs. He received a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity, and Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. Jackson serves as Treasurer for the Wayne County CRA Association and is a big brother of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Dr. Joyce Suber is an entrepreneur, college professor and the Executive Director of Entrepreneurial programs for the Michigan Women's Foundation with extensive experience in running non profit organizations. She has earned a bachelors degree and two masters degrees. Dr. Suber graduated with honors from her doctoral program in management with a focus in executive leadership from Walsh College.

Jerry Scrivo is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Master Mind Consulting Network. He has over 30 years experience at some of America’s largest companies including General Motors, Teledyne, Textron, Firestone and Shell Oil. Jerry has degrees from Michigan Technological University (BSME) and Wayne State University (MBA). He has 7 patents and has been listed in “Who’s Who in Technology”
Mark S. Lee is President/CEO of The LEE Group, a marketing consulting firm. He is the former VP of Brand Development and Marketing Communications at Florida Blue. Prior, Mr. Lee held senior-marketing leadership roles with nationally known companies including, PepsiCo and The Auto Club Group (AAA). Lee hosts a weekly radio show, “Small Talk with Mark S. Lee” broadcasted on CBS Detroit’s WXYT 1270 and streamed via cbsdetroit.com. He is a public speaker and an adjunct professor of Marketing at Eastern Michigan University. Lee contributes on numerous television programs. Lee is the creator and host of “EMU Today”, a general affairs program focused on Eastern Michigan University. He holds a MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BBA from EMU.

Marilyn Trent, principal and founder of Trent Creative, started as a freelance designer in 1992. While simultaneously raising two daughters and launching her business out of her home, Marilyn has built her company into a successful, award winning, full-service agency. Specializing in strategic branding, graphic design and marketing. Trent Creative has worked with over 100 B2B and B2C clients with gross sales totaling from $2 million to $300 million with offices in Detroit and Rochester. Her client list is becoming more extensive and diverse every year, working with companies such as Eaton Steel, Midtown Detroit Inc., Detroit Historical Museum, The Children’s Center and Beaumont Hospital, to name a few. Through tenacious brand building and expert marketing strategy, Trent Creative has become a catalyst for positive social and infrastructural change with Metro-Detroit area and national clients.
National Entrepreneurs Association is a 501c3 non profit organization created to help entrepreneurs succeed in business. We have two primary objectives. First, we focus on creating quality networking experiences so that entrepreneurs can build the relationships needed to be successful. NEA networking events are well attended by serious entrepreneurs and resource providers who have a genuine interest in collaborating.
Second, we focus on education. Our conferences and training program feature the best speakers in the country, providing entrepreneurs with the information needed to own and operate a business. Upon completion of our unique training program, members become certified entrepreneurs.
Dr. Cardwell is Vice President/Campus Director for University of Phoenix-Detroit and a strong advocate for entrepreneurs. She has 30 years experience in adult learning and higher education. Dr. Jan is also an entrepreneur. As CEO and Founding Partner of Conceivers LLC, her firm provides Empowerment (life) Coaching, Executive Coaching, and Dissertation Coaching services. She brings a wealth of experience having held numerous board positions for a variety of non profit organizations. Dr. Cardwell earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Capella University.
